Here at Dreamy Delights
Soaps we use only plant oils, luxury ingredients and 100% FRESH
GOAT MILK. Our soaps are handmade in small batches to ensure the
highest quality. Each batch of soap is poured, cut and cured for
at least 5 weeks. We then trim, label and wrap each bar. Because
our soaps are handmade and cut, each is distinctive and unique;
just like the goats we raise.
Is this a lye soap?
All soap is made with lye. Soap is made
by combining fatty acids with a strong alkali (lye). The result
is SOAP. People claiming to make soap without lye are either lying
or making soap from a pre-made base they have purchased that has
already gone through this process.
Soap is made WITH lye but there is no
lye in the final product. The amount of lye needed to saponify
(turn to soap) each oil can now be calculated precisely. We measure
lye to the 1/100th of an ounce to ensure saponification and no
more. In other words, the oils and lye are combined in the exact
amounts needed to turn them into soap and there is no lye left
in the finished product.
Why do we use fresh goat's
milk?
Goat's milk has been used for centuries
as a cleanser and beauty aid. It is high in vitamins, minerals,
proteins and alpha-hydroxy acids that nourish and rejuvenate the
skin. Goat's milk has a PH close to the skins natural PH, resulting
in a mild, non-irritating, highly moisturizing soap for even the
most sensitive skin.
Because goat's milk is difficult to work
with, most people use water as a base and add a small amount of
milk or, more commonly, powdered goat milk, at the end of the
process just so they can claim it is a goat milk soap. We use
FRESH GOAT'S MILK as our base.
Do you use a body wash or a cleansing bar?
If you use a commercial "soap"
product, chances are you're washing with detergent. The chemicals
& by-products used in most commercial "soaps" may
get you clean but usually leave your skin feeling itchy &
dry. Many people have eczema, psoriasis, fungal, and other skin
issues, but do not know that some of the products they use may
cause, aggravate or prolong these skin problems.
Read some of the ingredients we found
in other soaps/body washes. Hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride and
methycloroisoyhiazolinone may be great for washing clothes or
dishes, but doesn't your skin deserve better?
